Tulsa Tough, three days of incredible racing in Tulsa, OK. One set of races not to be missed by those who compete and love cycling. The town rallies around the races and cycling the ENTIRE weekend. Each and every category is well supported and attended, including the Townie ride, Granfondo, and plenty for the children.
Our team came fully supported and were aggressive and racing well from day one. We came up just shy the first two days with two 5th placings. On the final day, we came away with the big one on Crybaby Hill. It's hard to explain a stage like that one, but the atmosphere makes for some of the most fun and spirited racing all year.
Thanks to all those out there who make it so special to race and to those cheering us on and supporting by watching online at home.
Though one cannot fully experience what we race through unless you're in person, Danny Munson has a set of images that capture the day wonderfully. A set of photos from several of the races capturing the unbelievable ambiance and atmosphere we raced through. How can you not smile on a day like that?!! (thank you Dan)
We head north to Minneapolis/St. Paul to start the Nature Valley Grand Prix Wednesday. I am really looking forward to making it back where cycling started for me during Chiropractic school. And to also connect with some of the best friends and people I've met along the way.
